Approval to purchase the SRMBOK Training and Organizational License for US$990 per year.

The license provides access to the complete SRMBOK library and allows the organization to reproduce and distribute licensed material to employees and formally enrolled students across unlimited courses, cohorts and internal training activities while the subscription remains active.

The business case

Developing good professional training and practitioner material takes time. A single workbook, assessment tool, template or training handout can consume hours or days of experienced practitioner time to research, draft, review, format and test. It then has to be maintained as standards, practices and knowledge change.

The SRMBOK license provides an alternative: use and adapt an existing professional library rather than repeatedly building the same material from scratch. What you can use it for

Training providers can use SRMBOK books, guides, templates and tools as course references, workshop materials, exercises and student handouts. Licensed material can be adapted and co-branded for your courses, with appropriate SRMBOK attribution, and provided to formally enrolled students.

Corporations, government agencies and other organisations can use the library across internal security and risk management activities — including professional development, workshops, internal training, assessments, planning exercises and practitioner reference material.

Use a template as the starting point for a workshop. Give participants a relevant guide as a training reference. Adapt an assessment tool to your organisation. Build an internal course around selected SRMBOK resources. Provide teams with practical tools they can continue using after the training is finished.
You don’t need to use everything. Use the parts of the library that solve the problem in front of you.

The practical return

The license should not take much professional time to pay for itself.
If it saves a senior practitioner or trainer a few days spent researching, developing, reviewing and formatting material, the annual cost may already have been recovered.

If a training provider uses SRMBOK resources across several courses, or a large organization uses them across multiple teams, workshops or training programs, the effective cost per participant can become negligible.

Unlike material developed for a single course or project, the library remains available throughout the subscription for the next workshop, assessment, course, or problem.

Licensing position

Permitted: Reproduction and distribution to your employees and formally enrolled students, in unlimited numbers, across unlimited internal courses and training cohorts while the subscription is active. Material may be adapted and co-branded for approved internal and training use, with attribution to SRMBOK.

Not permitted: Reselling SRMBOK materials as standalone products, distributing them to the general public or people who are not employees or enrolled students, or sublicensing the library to another organization.

When the subscription ends: Recipients may retain materials already legitimately distributed to students or employees during the license period. The organization may not make new copies or distributions after the license ends.
